Michelle is the Founder and President of MLC. With 20 years of experience, Michelle has been a leading PR and marketing executive, developing and executing the marketing strategies for numerous nationally and internationally known companies. Prior to starting her own firm in 2011, she was the PR and Marketing Director for restaurateur Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group for nearly a decade; the Director of Publicity for Zagat from 2000-2003; Senior Publicist for the American Museum of Natural History in 1999; Associate Vice President at Rubenstein Associates from 1996-1999; and also worked at Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners and The Rowland Company. Michelle is a graduate of Boston University’s College of Communications, and lives in NYC with her husband and two children.


Katy joined MLC as Account Director in December 2011. She previously worked with Michelle as Senior Account Manager at Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group. Katy knew she wanted to work in the culinary industry after spending two years abroad–one year teaching English in France’s Loire Valley on a Fulbright grant (spending the weekends eating her way around Europe), and one year in Sydney, Australia where she fell in love with the local restaurant scene. Katy has worked in several areas of new media: assisting the Chairman/CEO of global production company, Radical Media; managing talent relations at Tribeca Film Festival; and assisting the CEO of boutique publishing house, Callaway Arts & Entertainment, where she worked on Madonna’s children’s book series and David Kirk’s hugely popular Miss Spider multimedia series. Katy earned a BA in English and Creative Writing from Colgate University, and attended the Columbia Publishing Course. She volunteers for Share Our Strength as co-chair of Taste of the Nation NYC, the city’s premiere tasting benefit dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America. A native of Seattle, Katy resides in Manhattan with her husband and son.


Deena joined MLC as Account Director in October 2014, bringing a decade of consumer and food marketing experience. Deena’s most recent position was as the VP of Marketing at Murray’s Cheese, where she launched the company’s first marketing department overseeing the public relations, promotions, events and visual brand for the growing specialty cheese brand and its businesses. Prior to that, Deena worked in communications in the US office of Slow Food, the international organization that supports local and sustainable food and food producers. Deena started her career working for an educational book publisher; she also completed New York University’s Publishing Course in magazine, book and online media. While Deena was studying for her BA in English (and eating beignets) at Tulane University in New Orleans, she also spent a year living and studying in a small town in Italy, where her curiosity about food and her passion for farm to table was brought to a whole new delicious level. A native of Chicago, Deena lives in New York City with her husband, son and dog.


Lauren joined the MLC team in May 2016, after nearly four years as in-house Publicist for acclaimed Chef Daniel Boulud and his international group of restaurants. In this role, Lauren managed media for the Michelin-starred chef, telling the stories of his seasonally inspired French-American cooking, and also worked across all aspects of PR and marketing in representing the Boulud brand. While her love for the hospitality industry deepened greatly during this time, her fascination with restaurants began much earlier, when she  waited on tables at the local cafe in her hometown of Ossining, New York. Lauren attended Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, and upon graduation she joined RF|Binder, a Public Relations agency, where she executed campaigns for Pilsner Urquell, Scharffenberger Chocolates and more, followed by a position on the marketing team at BR Guest Hospitality. Lauren lives in, and frequents the restaurants/bars, of Alphabet City (deliberately noting the distinction from the larger East Village) and believes in her previous life she may have authored 'The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up,' or maybe in this life will eventually be a professional organizer.


Kate joined MLC as an Assistant Account Executive in April 2014.  Prior to working at MLC, she served as an Associate Account Executive at Full Picture, a pr and marketing agency in NYC, where she worked with entertainment, fashion, and beauty clients including Heidi Klum, Theodora & Callum, and dermatologist, Dr. Patricia Wexler. A native New Yorker and graduate of Emory University, Kate now resides in her beloved Soho. In addition to being obsessive about food, Kate loves fashion, traveling and reading — and spends as much of her free time as possible checking out new restaurants around the city. 



Carlie joined MLC as an Account Coordinator in November of 2015. Formerly she was the Marketing and Social Media Coordinator at Wine Enthusiast Magazine, where she worked on the team's digital strategy. A native of Montclair, NJ, Carlie fell in love with New York's cultural and culinary offerings at an early age and now spends much of her time exploring the burgeoning food and wine scene of NYC. Carlie graduated from Catholic University in Washington, DC where she majored in Psychology. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, running, photography, fashion, and reading (especially about wine and food!).


Laura officially joined MLC as an Account Coordinator in December 2015 after interning with the team in the fall. A Midwest native, Laura fulfilled her lifelong dream and moved to New York after graduating from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business with degrees in Marketing and Sustainability. Before joining MLC, Laura interned with a small event planning company and waitressed at Dylan’s Candy Bar. She also enjoys cooking for her friends, improv comedy classes, the New England Patriots, and searching for New York's best cannoli.
